The two pictures above were taken a week ago. I was up at the mall and had to take some pictures of it. We have been having a lot of gray skies lately, and this lifted my spirits.
A crow chasing a Red Tailed Hawk??
Lastly I picture I took today. If you look at the sun you may see the face of a boy with a hat on. That is what I see at least. ;o)

Nice collection. See you next week.
Your sky photos were great!
Nice series. I like the bird chase one. Peculiar.
Lovely captures! Love your altocumulus! Don't see the boy, but the obscured sun is dramatic!
I can hear the Red Tail now: "Go away! I'm not dead yet!" Classic shot!
Lovely shots for sky watch!
Hey Kallen--I love to look at the sky and see 'things.' YES---I can see the boy with a hat on!!!! When I was a little girl, I'd lie down in the grass and look at the sky---trying to make shapes and faces out of the clouds. That was SO much fun!!!
Love your sky pictures today.
Hugs,
Betsy
Haha. Yes, when you say so - there is a boy ;) Great shots :)
Love them all. The difference. And the birds too..
It's nice to see a bit of blue sky after a lot of clouds. Nice photos.
Thanks for your visit to my SWF post.
A delightful post.... very nice skies!!
The crow chasing the hawk had me scratching my head.. LOL
Great shots. So cool to catch the birds in flight as well as the other shots.
I love the shot with the crow chasing the hawk! But the boy with the hat? I see a little kitten....the tale to the right. But that is the beauty of looking at clouds, we don't see the same!
The skies never stop to surprise us! Oneday peaceful and empty another time threatening with dark clouds. In your case the skies are beautiful!
Lovely captures! Great shots :O)
All very nice, but the bird one is a real thrillah!
I LOVE it when a smaller bird chases a BIG one. Kind of explains the idiom "bird brain' meaning not too smart. ;-)
I love your sky pictures! I never get tired of looking at the sky- in all it's forms and attitudes!

Beautiful and interesting photos! The clouds are so pretty. I can see the boy, too.
I like each of your pics here, and could not pick a favorite.
Thanks for your comment on my blog.
Beautiful skies. A crow chasing a hawk? is right!
Cotton-candy clouds. I'm always amazed at seeing smaller birds chase large hawks. I know it's not as dangerous as it looks, but still ...
I forgot to say I like your header collage. Did you make that on Picasso? Were you able to drag the pics and tilt them the way you wanted?
Sue, yes I did it in Picassa and it is super easy!! I love Picassa!
Thanks Kallen,
I am going to go check it out.
I love those clouds! Wish my sky would look like that for awhile. I can see the hat :-)
Lovely bubbly white clouds on blue in the top photo. Yes, those birds do look like they are in a chase.
Blue skies above...beautiful! The crow chasing the hawk...love it!
That looks very much like what I've seen around here in SE Mo lately! Great shots for SWF!
Hi Kallen, the cloud shots are beautiful. It is always amazing to me how we can see different things in the clouds continuously as they change. Brigitte and I love watching clouds because of the things we see in them.
The crow chasing the Red-tailed Hawk is a very typical behavior among birds. Smaller birds will often harass or "mob" birds of prey to get them out of their territory. Crows are one of the most common culprits but many birds sound alarms when raptors come around.
I wrote a post on mobbing behavior here if you are interested
Thanks for visiting. I see you are another bird watcher. Great pics.
Your world is utterly gorgeous.
The clouds looks like cotton, they are very pretty. And the birds are so nice. Thanks for sharing them to us. Have a blessed Friday!
Great Shots of clouds and the birds chasing!
Beautiful skywatch shots, thanks so much for sharing.
Have a great weekend!

I love those kind of clouds. We got a little break this week too.
A crow chasing a hawk - that's funny!
Thanks for your visit.
I forgot to say I saw the little boy. It reminds me of a young Amish boy with a straw hat.
Lovely collection of photos with all kinds of interesting things going on in your sky. Thanks for sharing with SWF.
Beautiful series!
Hope you get more of the blue and less of the gray.
Great selection of SWF photos. The 1st one is my favourite
It's amazing how a glimpse of blue sky raises our morale. I could do with some today...
The boy? I can see Snoopy in profile!
Kallen: Cool sky photos and I enjoyed the bird encounter. Thanks for sharing your imagination on the last shot.
Nice clouds, and yes, after a while , I saw the boy !
I love the 'cracking' clouds!
You have such wonderful glimpsies. Lovely clouds against the blue of the sky but the softness of the last image really took my liking.
Cute bird shots in this blog too.
lovely skywatch shots...love the cloud formations.
thanks for stopping by my blog.
have a wonderful weekend.
