Two New Birds: Up to 198 with 2 more to go!

Who'd of thought I could get two new birds this week without even going outside to look for them which is exactly what I did to get me to 198 with only two new birds for the month to get me to the magic number of 200! I got an email from my hawkwatching friend congratulating me on my 196 and listing some potential birds I could get this year if I tried hard enough and wouldn't you know, one of the birds that was mentioned, I had already seen but forgotten about, including the Brant above. This picture was taken at Plymouth Beach this past summer. Lifer! ;-)
And of course, who could forget the Snow Goose at Plum Island this past July who was all by itself. I remember being a little worried for it as it was an odd time of the year for it to be hanging around Plum Island by itself and assumed it must have been sick or something.

So with that said, I am only two away from my year end goal and who knows, maybe those two can be done via arm chair too! ;-). Take care all.

Kim, good luck! I find it is always fun to look through old images and discover something you didn't know was there.
