I came up with quite a few things. Birder definitely had to be in the blog title as that is what I consider myself and my blog, but getting the first word was a little more difficult. I thought of a few such as The Wondering Birder, The Restless Birder and the Adventurous Birder but chose The Curious Birder in the end. Yes I like to wonder, I am very restless and love adventure, but it is all because of my unsatisfiable curiosity of the daily life of birds.
I could spend hours watching birds and trying to get a better understanding of their day to day life. I just don't want to see them, but I want to be transported to their world, if only for a while to watch them in their natural state. My curiosity leads me to seek them out wherever I go and I am never disappointed.
I do have to admit, that I will kind of miss the Kitchen Window Birder. It seems as if she has disappeared long ago though. Yes she still birds by her kitchen window, but has been awakened by a whole new world that is just starting to bloom with each new spring day. This birder has found her wings and can't wait to start the second part of her incredible journey. Her curiosity knows no bounds.
To be continued as always.

You have evolved from looking at birds out the window, to going out and actively seeking them out. Yout new name fits!
Very appropriate, the journey takes a new road with lots of possibilities.
Hi,
Well I guess Nature called you, like all of us. As soon as you start to observe nature, you start from your windows but you finish in the field. This is just how it is!!! Good luck with your new approach!
I think you made a good choice with the blog title. It fits you perfectly. Have fun Sunday!
Great title, Kim.... I agree that you are no-longer watching birds from your Kitchen Window...Congrats!!!
Love the header.
Hugs,
Betsy
I like the new moniker. The Eastern Phoebe's are early arrivals. Fasten you seat belt Kim, Spring migration has started. Brush up on your warblers.
Boy I hope the migration has started but I also hope it warms up here first as it has been freezing in the mornings. I like your new header and the name.
There is a rather unique way to choose names for anything used by ad agencies. I will have to put that on my birds blog one of these days.
How cool Kim! Yes, you've come a long way since you first started blogging. Keep on surprising us!
Kim,
I think your new title is great and appropriate..you are now exploring birding by going out and seeking birds. Awesome..love the new header and the Walt disney quote. Perfect!
You'll always be the Kitchen Window Birder to me, Kim. I do love your new look and name, though! Yes, I think you are definitely a curious birder.
Have fun with it.
Mary :o)
Nice new look, Kallen - and great step forward in birding! You Go, Girl! ! !
...love it...the look and the new name. It's perfect!!
Kim,
Your revamped site looks great!
Great name for your blog!!
Great title and new look too Kallen.
I think it's a very fitting title too! I love your curiosity and love for the birds. :c)
I like the new title and looks of your blog. Helen
My Curious George posts on Friday must have nailed it =) Are you going to change your blog's address? It's nice when it matches.
Didn't know what to think, at first. Thought I had clicked the wrong link. Beautiful new look, but I loved the comfort of the old one too. Love those birds and every new discovery. Your banner describes that perfectly.
Love the new title...and yes, you have definitely gone well beyond the kitchen window!! Looking forward to more of your adventures!
The old and new are very creative names.
Great new look.
I like the new name and really neat new header. Evolution. You've progressed quickly to a higher stage of birding and blogging!!!
I liked your old title...unique...but you know what suits your blog best. You are definitly the curious type, so it's a good title! We'll follow you whatever it is :-) My title ceased to be "right" a long time ago, when I quit trying to get everything in one blog, but I'm so used to it now, that I just don't feel like changing it.
You picked a great name, Kim! And you must know that I definitely approve of your font choice! :)
I thought your old title was clever, but I know what you mean about having a title that just feels right. You have moved beyond the kitchen window afterall! Love all the great photos you have been taking!
